This week, our manga spotlight has shined on Pet Shop of Horrors & Mirai Nikki.  If you are unfamiliar with these manga be sure to check them out!

Series Summary:
A smoke-filled alley in Chinatown harbors Count D's Pet Shop. The pets sold here aren't your everyday variety and the Count prides himself on selling Love and Dreams in the form of magical creatures that come with an exclusive contract. But buyers beware. If the contract is broken the Count cannot be held accountable for whatever may happen. A fascinating and macabre look into the very soul of human nature.

Series Summary:
Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is a loner who never really interacts with people and prefers writing a diary on his cell phone with his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space, and Muru Muru, Deus's servant.  However, Yuki soon learns that Deus is real when he makes Yuki participate in a battle royal with eleven other people. Within this "Diary Game," the contestants are given special diaries that can predict the future, with each diary having unique features that gives them both advantages and disadvantages.  The rules of the game are simple: the contestants have 90 days to find and kill all the other contestants, and the last one standing will become the new God of Time and Space

It's wonderful to see you put the spotlight on Pet Shop of Horrors. It definitely is and underrated manga, especially when compared to the second spotlighter - Mirai Nikki. (I mean, seriously this one even has a hit j-drama after all...). I think the problem most people have with PSoH is - most probably - the art style. It has that oldschool look that not many people appreciate nowadays... But I do recommend this series as it is absolutely wonderful, has really likeable characters, its art is subtle, detailed and gives off a dreamlike feeling to the piece.

BTW, to all those who missed it, there's a new series called Shin Pet Shop of Horrors (or New Pet Shop of Horrors).

No shoujo romance this week... I see the theme is Hallowen Cheesy

Thank you for those great suggestions Smiley
