I love Yugioh (the original series not all this GX and Zexal business) but what I don't understand why Takahashi had to change the original outline?! The first seven manga of Yugioh is action packed, people die, are tortured, Joey got hung from a freakin ceiling TWICE!!! O.o
The first seven manga will always be my favorite, hands down. I really wish the author had stuck with the whole original game thing, because it was just so much more interesting. While I do love the Duel Monsters concept as well, I just think Yugioh could have reached a whole new potential with "King of Games" by actually playing DIFFERENT games rather than just one the entire time. Sad

just started it but couldn't get through the first volume. It just felt very bad. The art was bad, or rather the art style was bad, and it felt very childish, and the dialog and writing was extremely bad. does the manga get any better?
