Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've searched the forums and I find no thread about Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate the Combat Butler in english)! I want to know people's voices about this manga. As for me, I love this series.

http://www.mangatraders.com/manga/series/126

Ayasaki Hayate, 16, world's fastest delivery boy. Currently working because his parents are unemployed. After his Boss finds out that he's under the minimum age requirements, he gets fired... and his paycheck goes to his parents. To his dismay, they spent it all in the casinos, and racked up an incredible debt, which then leads to him being chased by the Yakuza, because his parents sold his organs to them. Not knowing what to do, he comes up with a plan to pay off the debt - a plan that involved kidnapping a young girl all alone in the park. After a series of events, he ends up being this girl's butler. This is the story of a butler's love, sweat and blood!

Btw, anybody know where is the missing chapter?

I've been following he story for quite a while now, and I have to say it's one of the best comedy manga I've read. The plot was a bit random at first, but in the latest chapters, the plot really seems to be thickens. I seriously wonder how's things gonna turn out for Hayate though. He promised Nagi that he would always be with her (and with the inheritence gone, there's no way he could leave her), but I don't think he would just left Athena again.

I agree with you that it's one of the best comedy (and don't forget the parody) manga.

I guess there's some probabilities, whether Hayate persuades Athena to go back with him, or they just go their way (which makes me sad, I really want Hayate to be with A-tan).

Frankly, I only read a few chapters and felt more than satisfied. It was annoying and the female character was ridiculously cliche. As you see, I couldn't even be bothered to remember their names.

I just read chapter 265 and was like "No!! I don't want this to happen!". I guess this is the most logical outcome, but still it was quite sad. I really like seeing Hayate and A-tan together too. I wonder who's gonna take A-tan place though, my fav choice is Hinagiku, but it's quite hard to picture that after Hayate told Hina that he love A-tan just when Hina try to confess to him.

AARGH!!!!

I nearly cried "No, A-Tan!" when I read ch.265. I hope there will really be a meeting between the two of them. Poor Hayate.

I don't know why, but all my friends reading Hayate no Gotoku also choose Hina. Not with me, I choose Ayumu. I think she did and do a lot more for Hayate than Hina. (And this preference always makes me have fight with those 'Hinagikuism' follower).

I'm not sure about your friends, but for me Hina is the best candidate because her personality seems to be somewhat click with Hayate's. For example, Hina's a girl with boy-ish traits and Hayate's a guy with girl-ish traits, or how Hina's they both were left behind by their parents. Besides, everytime the plot focus on the 2 of them, somehow it always become quite a nice scene (the fight in the student council room, or when they go out to see movie together).

I agree those two would make a good couple. But it seems that Hina is hesitating to let Hayate know about her feeling just because she doesn't like to lose, and finally she lost her momentum to do so. It takes a very great event (a classy dinner only with Hayate seems like something the girls will kill for, unless Nagi) to make her brave enough to confess, and only God and the author knows whether it will happen again.

I choose Ayumu because it seems that she has more feeling to Hayate and is more able to show it (like the chocolate, or the bike scene). It's just Hayate that is dumb enough to not notice what Ayumu really wants. And don't forget, Hina promised to cheer on Ayumu, but now I think Ayumu is cheering on Hina.

Nagi had her own business?
Without Sanzenin's wealth support?

Wow...

Well she did said that even without the inherintance, as long as she have stocks at the world business satelites, she won't have problem with finances (chapter 14).

The new chapter seems like an interesting beginning. I wonder what actually happened (or will happen) considering the way Nagi shouts at the beginning of the chapter. Now Nagi have lost the house and have to move to another place, I think many new plots can be made out of this situation, and there seems to be a new girl appearing too.

I guess so. She might not have finances problem, but still, she is not as rich as her family. I guess (from Maria's speech to Hayate) one of the main problems is Nagi's exposure to 'Normal' life as everybody does: having a job (as a house owner), maintaining a house, and so on.

I wonder where they'll live, considering Tama and Klaus...

Just finish reading chapter 270, that solved the question of the new house. It does shocked me of how Klaus's young version is so different. He seems so cool compare to his current self, and Yukariko was so cute too. The house seems big enough to let them keep Tama (Klaus won't be staying with them anymore), but I wonder if they can actually rent out a room where there's a tiger in the backyard.
