My Girl wasn't the best of Sahara Mizu's works, but it manages to show how well she can bring out the most complex of feelings in simple strokes. The background story is somewhat akin to Usagi Drops (isn't this another recent selection?), but the storytelling method has a slower pace if I'm not mistaken.

As for Solanin, haven't read it, but it sounds sweet. Might be worth checking out.

I've read both titles before. And they are good slice of life stories. <3 I recommended them to some friends and they liked them too.

I checked out My Girl, and I absolutely loved it thus far.  It reminded me of Usagi Drop, but was very different in its own way.  A great manga to read.  Thanks so much for the manga of the week, because I've gotten so many good reads because of it!
