well, my first anime was technically "my neighbor totoro" one of the best ghibli movies ever
i think my first anime SERIES was pokemon
and the first anime series i knew was actually anime and not just a cartoon, i think was dragon ball z / sailor moon (they were on cartoon network at the same time, when i figured it out)

Gundam SEED was the first anime I watched in Japanese. I consider it my first true anime.
Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! don't count, those were more cartoons.

My very, very first anime was Sailor moon, except I don't know if that would count. I watched it in chinese when I was like 5.
Other then that, next was Laputa Castle in the Sky. (Probably the first real anime I watched- even though it's a movie)

oh my....
my first anime was?? i was to small to remembered it. thought it was doraemon, dragon ball.
and i realized it was anime about 5-6 years later. when i was about 13-14 years old.

The first anime I remember watching was "Knights of the Zodiac". I thought it rather violent, but watched it anyway.
"Sailor Moon" was also one of my first. I enjoyed the girls' different powers and looks, but Tsukino Usagi (aka Bunny), the main character, was quite irritating sometimes.
I forgot "Captain Tsubasa". Amazing, how they sometimes took one episode just to reach the end of a soccer field. They ran for miles and miles (lol). Ant then they ended up scoring a goal by way of a back flip. |
